Wednesday, 7 June 2023, hour to be defined, Room R4
Organiser:
- 6G-SANDBOX project
Motivation and Background
6G-SANDBOX is a HE funded research project (HORIZON-JU-SNS-2022-STREAM-C-01-01). The 6G-SANDBOX project brings a complete and modular facility for the European experimentation ecosystem (in line and under the directions set by SNS JU), which is expected to support for the next decade technology and research validation processes needed in the pathway towards 6G. The target is at technologies and research advances, that span over the entire service provisioning chain, and refer to user/data, control and management planes. In this direction, 6G-SANDBOX introduces the concept of Trial Networks, which refers to fully configurable, manageable and controlled end-to-end networks, composed of both digital and physical nodes.
On April 24th, the 6G-SANDBOX consortium announced its first Open Call for third party experimenters to contribute to the 6G-SANDBOX program. The deadline for proposal submission is July 3rd 2023 at 5PM CET.
The 6G-SANDBOX team will hold an information session at EuCNC to present and answer questions about the open call. The presentation will cover an introduction to the 6G-SANDBOX platform, the submission process, the evaluation and how engagement will be done when selected. Technical topics as outlined in the call will also be presented. There will be room for Q&A.
Participation to the session is free but registration is required (https://6g-sandbox.eu/oc-1-registration/). The meeting will be hold in a hybrid format for people who are not attending EuCNC. The meeting will be recorded and made available to the registered participants afterwards.
Information on the open call can be found here: https://6g-sandbox.eu/opencall/open-call-1/
