PHY – Physical Layer and Fundamentals
Scope
While the deployment of 5G cellular systems continues into the next decade, work on the next generation is beginning. The PHY track invites original submissions in all areas of wireless communications and its applications with a focus on topics related to physical layer, mMIMO, and AI/ML for PHY.
Highlights
Some of the fundamental problems that pertain to key physical layer enablers for 6G will be discussed. This includes highlighting challenges and original work related to intelligent reflecting surfaces, massive MIMO and THz communications.
RAS – Radio Access and Softwarisation
Scope
With its unique platform enabling a variety of services and the integration of AI, 6G represents a revolution in communication networks design. The RAS track invites original submissions on topics related to RAN architecture, spectrum management, MAC, RRM, radio virtualization and edge caching.
Highlights
Some of the RAN problems for 6G will be discussed. They will include massive access, reconfigurable and energy efficient MAC/RRM, soft RAN, radio slicing and virtualization, edge caching and cognitive radio.
NET – Network Softwarisation
Scope
The NET track covers topics such as new network protocols and architectures, programmable and software defined networks, smart network virtualisation, slicing and orchestration. Track invites original submissions also on AI/ML for service provisioning and network automation, network operating systems as well as data aware and quality aware networking.
Highlights
The sessions under this track offer the audience latest results in fully softwarised networks providing flexible network architectures, zero touch networking and providing network services beyond mere communication services with the help of novel tools of virtualisation and slicing as well as AI/ML.
CME – Components and Microelectronics
Scope
The CME track covers semiconductor topics from the technology process components and 3D integrations, to the integrated systems for wired and wireless communications. Challenges for 6G in the semiconductor integration are mmW to THz; Gbs to Tbs, 3D Integrations; and Power efficiency, incl. computing.
Highlights
In this track, we wait for papers presenting innovations in active & passive Micro & Nano electronic devices, innovative architectures of integrated FEM and transceivers, new communication SOC architectures integrating AI control, for mmW to THz applications and Photonics applications, among other fields.
WOS – Wireless, Optical and Satellite Networks
Scope
This track will attract researchers studying different networking technologies to contribute their results. We invite original contributions on beyond 5G & 6G access and core networks, IoT and M2M networks, short-range THz communication networks as well recent developments in satellite and optical networking under topics such as new optical network architectures, optical switching paradigms, optical/wireless convergence or VLEO satellite systems and networks, green wireless/optical/satellite networks, and AI/ML for wireless/0ptical/satellite networks.
Highlights
The future communications will include in an integrated manner many different communications media including wireless terrestrial, optical and satellite communications. By attending these sessions, the listener will grasp a great understanding on how networks of networks will evolve towards 2030´s.
VAP – Vertical Applications and Internet of Things
Scope
Over the past years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has demonstrated exponential growth, impacting both humans and businesses and becoming a game changer for many verticals. The VAP track focuses on IoT and versatile “connectivity and beyond” technologies underlying the IoT and its application within verticals.
Highlights
The track comprises several sessions, which offer the floor for experts from Academy and Industry to present and discuss the most vital challenges, novel concepts and research results, and technical and technological solutions for today and future IoT and vertical applications.
OPE – Operational & Experimental Insights
Scope
The cellular networks are becoming increasingly complex and experimental studies are necessary. In this track we welcome contributions on e.g. beyond 5G trials and experiments, deployment insights from verticals, advanced wireless platforms and testbeds, network applications for test and production deployments, network applications for test and production deployments, and Next Generation Internet architectures and experimentation
Highlights
The interested participants to these sessions will gain hands-on and down-to-earth real-life experiences on how and what have been experimented in 5G, beyond 5G technologies and may also get a glimpse on first technology enabler proof-of-concept trials on upcoming 6G technologies.
6ET – 6G Enabling Technologies
Scope
The 6G enabling technologies (6GET) invites original submissions related to novel technical and research findings in making 6G a reality. These include algorithms, system models, performance evaluations and validations relevant to 6G.
Highlights
The attendees can learn what are the main technical advancements that will usher 6G contributed by the leading research experts in academia and industry. They will also become familiar with what are the key differences with 5G and new key performance and value indicators applicable to 6G.
6GV – 6G Visions
Scope
The 6G Visions (6GV) track invites original submissions that present visionary ideas about 6G systems, enablers, use cases, services, and other topics for innovation. National and global views from different stakeholder perspectives are invited for the continuation of joint 6G vision building.
Highlights
Attendees will learn the state of the art of 6G visions from leading experts in telecom industry, operators, academia and other stakeholders who will give thought-provoking presentations on 6G visions in many aspects in both original papers and invited presentations.
