    Motivation and Background<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) technology is emerging as a pivotal functionality in the development of 6G networks, enabling the convergence of communication and environmental sensing to enhance system efficiency, accuracy, and versatility. This feature is gaining
    \nsignificant traction, with ongoing standardization efforts such as the ISAC Industry Specification Group (ISG) in ETSI and the contributions of 3GPP reflecting its growing importance. To explore this transformative capability, the proposed workshop will focus on the latest initiatives within the European Union\u2019s Horizon Europe (HE) Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) research program, where ISAC serves as a key focus area for several ongoing and future projects. This workshop has been organized within the SNS TB and includes most of the research performed within the European Commission Horizon Europe SNS JU on ISAC. The workshop will provide a platform to discuss advancements, challenges, and collaborative opportunities in shaping ISAC as a cornerstone of next-generation network capabilities.
    \nThe workshop will cover the different initiatives in PHY layer research and on the system level improvements to the 6G architecture, real life experiences of ISAC in real scenarios, KPIs\/KVIs and standardization activities and opportunities.
    \nThis workshop will serve as the coordination point between the HE SNS-JU projects involved in developing ISAC technology, providing an overview to the audience on what the key research issues and items that are subject of the focus of European research.<\/p>\n
