Pearse O\u2019Donohue<\/h2>\n<\/div>

Pearse O\u2019Donohue is Director for the Future Networks Directorate of DG CONNECT at the European Commission, dealing with policy development and research supporting the Digital Single Market as regards 5G networks, IoT, cloud and data flows and conceptualising new and innovative approaches towards service platforms and next generation Internet. Before becoming Director, Pearse was Head of the Cloud and Software Unit in DG CONNECT, dealing with the strategic development and implementation of policy on cloud computing and software.<\/p>\n

Until October 2014, Pearse was Deputy Head of Cabinet of Vice-President Neelie Kroes, previous European Commissioner for the Digital Agenda. He was responsible for advising the Vice-President on the development and implementation of policy on electronic communications, networks and services, as well as broadband, spectrum and other related policies such as Internet governance.<\/p>\n

Before that, Pearse was Head of the Radio Spectrum Policy Unit in the European Commission, DG CONNECT.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the European Commission, Pearse held posts in the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the EU in Brussels, and as Assistant Director of the Brussels office of the Irish Business & Employers\u2019 Confederation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Magnus Frodigh<\/h2>\n<\/div>

Dr. Magnus Frodigh\u00a0is Vice President and Head of Ericsson Research.\u00a0 In this role he leads Ericsson\u2019s long-term technology research organization, its close collaboration with academia and industry, and its contributions to the Ericsson to the Ericsson business and product development.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0holds\u00a0a Master of Science degree from Link\u00f6ping University of Technology, Sweden, and a Ph.D. in Radio Communication Systems from the Royal Institute of Technology, where\u00a0he is\u00a0also adjunct Professor in Wireless Infrastructures.\u00a0He is a\u00a0Fellow\u00a0of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA)<\/p>\n

Frodigh\u00a0joined Ericsson in 1994 and has\u00a0over the past three decades\u00a0held various key senior positions within Research & Development and Product Management,\u00a0throughout the generations of mobile technology, from\u00a02G\u00a0all the way to current research on 6G technologies.
