Before becoming Director, Pearse was Head of the Cloud and Software Unit in DG CONNECT, dealing with the strategic development and implementation of policy on cloud computing and software.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Until October 2014, Pearse was Deputy Head of Cabinet of Vice-President Neelie Kroes, previous European Commissioner for the Digital Agenda. He was responsible for advising the Vice-President on the development and implementation of policy on electronic communications, networks and services, as well as broadband, spectrum and other related policies such as Internet governance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before that, Pearse was Head of the Radio Spectrum Policy Unit in the European Commission, DG CONNECT.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to joining the European Commission, Pearse held posts in the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the EU in Brussels, and as Assistant Director of the Brussels office of the Irish Business &amp; Employers\u2019 Confederation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><style type=\"text\/css\">.fusion-body years of experience in microelectrics technologies and their applications, including clean mobility, medicine in the future, cybersecurity, and power electronics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sebastien Dauv\u00e9 started his career at the French Armament Electronics Center, where he worked on developing synthetic-aperture radar. In 2003, he joined CEA-Leti as an industrial transfer manager and supervised several joint research laboratories, in particular with the multinational Michelin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2007, Sebastien Dauv\u00e9 became a laboratory manager, then head of an R&amp;D department in the area of sensors applied to the Internet of things and electric mobility. During this time, he supported the dissemination of new technologies in industry, including the automotive industry (Renault), aeronautics, national defense (SAFRAN), and microchips with the industry leader Intel. He played an active role in the creation of start-ups in application fields ranging from health to infrastructure security, leading to dozens of new jobs. In 2016, he became Director of the CEA-Leti Systems Division.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From sensors to wireless communication, Sebastien Dauv\u00e9 has played an active role in the digital transformation, focused on coupling energy frugality and performance. He has made cross-disciplinary approaches central to innovation by harnessing the expertise of talented teams with diverse backgrounds.
