The Best Paper was awarded to the paper "Distributed MIMO Demonstrated with 5G Radio Access Prototype", by the authors Björn Halvarsson, Elias Karam, Martin Nyström, Roger Pirinen, Arne Simonsson, Qiang Zhang, Peter Ökvist (Ericsson, Sweden)
- Best Booth Award – Selected by the participants to the conference through a form that will be available on site.
- Best Student Paper Award – Selected by the Track Co-Chairs among the papers accepted and published over IEEE Xplore, authored by a student (sponsored by EURACON)
The Best Paper was awarded to the paper "Auction-based Offloading for Base Station Switching Off in Heterogeneous Networks", by the authors Alexandra Bousia, Elli Kartsakli, Angelos Antonopoulos, Luis Alonso, Christos Verikoukis (UPC & CTTC, Spain)
- Best Student Paper Award – Selected by the Track Co-Chairs among the papers accepted and published over IEEE Xplore, authored by a student (sponsored by EURASIP)
The Best Paper was awarded to the paper "Bayesian Compressed Sensing-based Channel Estimation for Massive MIMO Systems", by the authors Hayder Al-Salihi, Mohammad Reza Nakhai (King’s College London, United Kingdom)
EuCNC’2016 issues the following awards:
- EuCNC Best Paper Award:
- The paper in this award is selected among those accepted for presentation in Regular Sessions.
- The award consists of 1 000 €.
- The award is given at the conference banquet.
- The selection procedure is as follows. Track Co-Chairs select 2 best papers from their track. An Awards Committee, chaired by the Steering Committee Chair, and composed of the TPC Chairs of the current and previous editions, selects the winning paper.
- EuCNC Best Booth Award:
- The booth in this award is selected among all participating in the conference.
- The award consists of a trophy.
- The award is given at the conference banquet.
- The selection procedure is as follows. A ballot is distributed together with the conference documentation. All registered conference participants can vote. A few members of the Steering Committee, form a vote counting committee, chaired by the Steering Committee Chair, and determine the winning booth by the majority of votes.
- EuCNC/EURACON Student Best Paper Award:
- The paper in this award is selected among those authored by a student and accepted for presentation in Regular Sessions.
- The award consists of 500 €, sponsored by EURACON (European Association of Communications and Networking).
- The award is given at the conference banquet.
- The selection procedure is as follows. Track Co-Chairs select 2 best papers from their track. An Awards Committee, chaired by the Steering Committee Chair, and composed of the TPC Chairs of the current and previous editions, plus the EURACON Liaison, selects the winning paper.
- EuCNC/EURASIP Student Best Paper Award:
- The paper in this award is selected among those authored by a student and accepted for presentation in Regular Sessions.
- The award consists of 500 €, sponsored by EURASIP (European Association for Signal Processing).
- The award is given at the conference banquet.
- The selection procedure is as follows. Track Co-Chairs select 2 best papers from their track. An Awards Committee, chaired by the Steering Committee Chair, and composed of the TPC Chairs of the current and previous editions, plus the EURASIP Liaison, selects the winning paper.
